Self directed project in which the designer Bruce Mau’s Incomplete Manifesto For Growth was made into a book. As a designer I have a fascination with manifestos, truisms and rules relating to work and creativity. The manifesto functions as Mau’s insight to design and motivation and is very open ended. The construction of the book is a response to these inspiring ideas. The cover features a blind emboss to book board made on a vandercook letterpress. The prong binding can be taken apart so the rules in the manifesto can be modified. I created various design responses to each of the rules, sometimes directly relating to the idea conveyed while at other times are abstracted.
