For the 2015 NBA All Star Game, Nike created a pop-up shop in Madison Square Garden Foot Locker and we had the opportunity to generate a robust family of New York-inspired patches and graphics that customers got to customize their own gear with. A custom typeface (which we called “Hard Knocks” and inspired by the lines of a streetball court), a series of illustrated patches, borough-inspired badges and various monograms and borough-names were developed for the event.
